What Is Prenatal Massage?
Prenatal Massage is a specialized wellness treatment designed specifically for women throughout pregnancy. It is more than just a relaxing treatment—it is a gentle therapeutic approach that helps soothe the physical and emotional changes experienced by expectant mothers during this special journey.
The treatment is performed using very gentle, fluid strokes and massage techniques. Guests are comfortably positioned on their side with specialized pregnancy support pillows. Specially trained therapists carefully avoid the abdomen and pressure points traditionally considered unsuitable during pregnancy, aiming to provide maximum comfort while prioritizing the safety of both mother and baby.
Benefits
- Soothes Back & Lower Back Discomfort: As the baby grows, changes in the body’s center of gravity place increased pressure on the lower back and hips. Gentle massage techniques help release muscle tension and ease persistent aches and discomfort.
- Supports Circulation & Reduces Swelling: Gentle stimulation of blood circulation may help reduce fluid retention and swelling around the ankles and feet, a common concern during pregnancy.
- Relieves Stress & Supports Better Sleep: The treatment promotes relaxation and may help reduce stress, helping ease emotional sensitivity and supporting deeper, more restful sleep.
- Nourishes & Improves Skin Elasticity: Combined with pure natural nourishing oils, such as coconut oil and fresh almond oil, the treatment provides deep hydration, supports skin elasticity, and may help minimize the appearance of stretch marks.
Treatment Process
- Consultation & Personalized Assessment: The therapist carefully discusses the stage of pregnancy, the mother’s overall condition, and the areas experiencing the most tension or discomfort.
- Optimal Supportive Positioning: The expectant mother is guided into a comfortable side-lying position with pregnancy support pillows and bolsters, helping relieve pressure on the spine and abdomen.
- Application of Pure Natural Oils: 100% natural cold-pressed oils are used, free from artificial fragrances and potentially irritating chemicals.
- Gentle Therapy for the Back, Shoulders & Legs: Very light strokes and rhythmic massage techniques are applied along the neck and shoulders, both sides of the lower back, thighs, and calves with gentle pressure.
- Complete Avoidance of Sensitive Areas: No pressure is applied to the abdomen, and areas traditionally considered inappropriate during pregnancy are avoided.
- Relaxation & Post-Treatment Care: The treatment concludes with a gentle head massage. The therapist then assists the mother in sitting up safely and offers a warm herbal tea for relaxation.
Who Is It Suitable For?
- Expectant mothers in their second and third trimesters, from approximately week 13 to week 36 of pregnancy.

Important Note
